Rev. Becky Caswell-Speight attended an annual luncheon on May 2, 2018, at Smoke Rise Elementary School where Smoke Rise Baptist Church was recognized and honored as an outstanding community partner.
Principal Pamela McCloud believes in the power of community, and the community partner’s luncheon is just one of the many ways that the Smoke Rise Elementary’s leadership team is second-to-none in their commitment to excellence. Through religious, business and civic partnerships in our community, Smoke Rise Elementary helps students connect to a wide range of resources and relationships that enhance their educational experience.
Smoke Rise Baptist Church currently spearheads an after-school Shine Club in the Fall and Spring semesters at Smoke Rise Elementary. Our church has also sponsored a free holiday activity room with family crafts and fun at the school’s annual “Holiday in Smoke Rise” craft and gift show.
We are grateful for Principal McCloud and all of the wonderful teachers and staff who work so hard to make Smoke Rise Elementary a great school. Pray for the continued success of Smoke Rise Elementary School and for God’s blessing on their efforts to educate the children entrusted to their care. If you are interested in volunteering to serve with Shine Club or at other partnering events at Smoke Rise Elementary, please contact the church office to request information.
