Children / Weekday School

Do you know what began in 1973?

Did you know our church has been serving the families of our surrounding community through Smoke Rise Baptist Weekday School since 1973? This is a vital ministry of our church. Some families are unchurched, and Smoke Rise Baptist is their only connection to the Christian faith. We incorporate the priorities of our church into our curriculum, and we teach them through worshiping and learning together, by caring for and serving others, and by giving.

In celebration of the 45 years of this beloved mission of our church, please consider giving a donation to our scholarship fund. Families in need can apply for financial assistance, and every dollar of the scholarship fund enables children to attend our school who otherwise could not afford it. This past year, your generous donations enabled one family to send both of their daughters to our school. A single mother received a scholarship to pay for her daughter’s tuition, and is thankful her child receives “a good Christian education,” in her words. A disabled father who currently is unemployed and caring for his five children was granted a scholarship for his daughter’s education. Your gifts benefit our neighbors, and help us to live out our mission of loving God and loving others.

We are already receiving scholarship applications for the upcoming school year. Help us meet this need! Please make checks payable to Smoke Rise Baptist Church, and designate the gift to Weekday School Scholarship Fund. If you have any questions, you may call the school office at 678-533-0558. Thank you in advance for your gift!

Please spread the word. Smoke Rise Baptist Weekday School is enrolling students for 2018/2019. Summer Open House is Saturday, June 2, at 10:00 am at Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Come visit our school!
