Over a year ago, all of our mission partnerships began a process of evaluation. Since that time, the partnership team for the Stone Mountain Co-op has prayerfully recommended that as of April 2016, we no longer fund this co-op from the mission budget. The Mission Committee has approved this recommendation of the partnership team.
This does not mean that individuals, classes or circle groups’ giving would cease. Each group or individual will now make their own determination regarding their contributions. Recent changes in funding have caused there to be a drop in the number of clients served at Stone Mountain Co-op. Currently, a significant amount of the funds are used for salaries and utilities and not for helping clients.
Therefore, the partnership team and the Mission Committee have felt the need for a change. We will soon announce another opportunity that will serve those in need in our community. Thank you to all who have faithfully served the most needy of our community. If you would like more information, please contact the Missions Office.
